Cache
Tenant
Wraps another cache to add in separation by tenant. This is useful for a multi-tenant deployment where a custom provider varies its output per tenant (e.g. different imagery or authorization per organization).
Description
The tenant ID is populated by authentication. A request with no tenant ID falls back to the same cache key it would use without this wrapper, making this utterly pointless for a single-tenant (or unauthenticated) deployment.
The seed and test commands have no incoming request to take a tenant from, so pass one with their --tenant flag. Without it they act on the un-namespaced key rather than any tenant’s.
| Tenant IDs are subject to the same sanitization as layer names. That is, non-alphanumeric characters will be replaced with an underscore in some cases. If your tenant IDs differ by only special characters, rethink your tenant IDs. |
